Some NEW Color work up!

Game Boys has just been a blast to color. Zombies, dragons, monsters? Of course I love it. Here are 3 more covers that I provided the color for. The little piranha babies may be my favorite. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

And now some practice work for fun and to keep my on my toes. I will always love Marvel, and these have been some great warm up pieces to practice on to get me ready for sequential pages. Both Sara Pichelli (Lady Loki) and Mark Morales (Wolverine and Black Widow) have some really beautiful line work and were really fun to color.

Zazzle!

I have officially opened a Zazzle shop! It’s been a long time coming, I know. But now the big day is finally here.

You will now be able to find  items, posters, and prints of some of my artwork for purchase. New items will be added to the Zazzle shop often, so keep checking back.

Really want to see a particular piece of art up for sale? Just let me know! I am adding new art and new products constantly and would love to get you what you want.

And on the technical side for anyone doing research for their own online stores, I am loving Zazzle. It is extremely user-friendly, and the products seem very high quality. This ease of use will allow me to get more art to  you faster. A win for everyone!

Also, stay tuned for a Zazzle shop hosted directly on my site. Should be up and running within the week. Also, an etsy store with some more…interesting… things should be just around the corner.

Here is a sample of some of the pieces I have currently featured:

copic markers, vampire hunters, wooden stakes, red head, woman, city scape, night, boots, character design pinup style, copic markers, pinup girl, blond cropped-website-banner-copy.jpg angel, speed paint, digital art, digital painting, wings surreal art, tree made of hearts, digital art, digital painting comic, original character, philadelphia skyline, dusk, cat suit, red hair

Cosplay Walk-Through: Winter Soldier arm

Alternately titled ‘how I burned off all my finger prints with a hot glue gun.’

This began as an idle thought and a challenge between Jason and myself (I won, by the way). I loved Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I saw it six times in theaters. It’s based on one of my favorite comic runs of all time. Jason and I were actually at San Diego in the panel where they announced it in 2012. Which was surreal because I had just finished Ed Brubaker’s run.

So after the heartbreak over the cancellation of the Winter Soldier ongoing (though they gave him a new one and everything is fine now) and seeing the movie maybe one too many times, this idea took hold. Jason challenged me to a competition over who could make him a better Winter Soldier arm.

Because look how badass that is.

Back from Dragon Con 2014 with Cosplay pictures!

I have to tell you, it was an experience. A fun one. Both Jason and I had cosplayed before, but never to the extent we had at Dragon Con. (Remind me to share those USO girl pictures. I’m still ridiculously proud of my hat.)

First thing we learned: Atlanta is HOT.

After our mild Philadelphia Summer, it was quite the system shock to walk through the heat of Atlanta in not so breathable costumes. But we persevered! Complaining got us through.

Once we got over that, Atlanta was a lot of fun. The architecture was beautiful, and there were some really fantastic restaurants. Also, that Aquarium? Fantastic. If you’re going to Atlanta, go to the Aquarium.

But, to the part that probably got you here: The Cosplay!

Jason and I went as the Winter Soldier and Black Widow. I made put both of these together (Jason got us our prop guns) and will go in to detail about the process in a later post. But for now, I wanted to say I’m still here and show off some pictures. And I apologize in advance for the weird faces I make in pictures.

Oscar Dress Designs

In honor of Oscar night, now that it’s over, here are some quick sketches of fancy dresses. I love designing dresses, and this seemed like a wonderful opportunity. I used two, quickly drawn, basic body templates. Then I played with style and color, trying to do something different for each dress. My favorites are probably the red and the orange one.costume sketches, costume renderings, oscar dresses, fancy dress costume sketches, costume renderings, oscar dresses, fancy dress
